It took a plane crash to remind us how much of a fickle game life is
It took 60 seconds to show us how much time really matters
It took a virus to show us the value of seeing our loved ones in the flesh
It takes one disaster after another to wake us up to our reality
But that is not the worst part of it all
The worst part is that despite all this we are busy in our slumber
Despite seeing how ruthless death is we think we are immune to it all
It’s worse that it is taking all this to give us a wake up call
A call that was there all along
A call to remind us that to Him we belong
