A Broke Student’s Skincare Routine

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to splurge excessively on high end products to establish a skincare routine. It is quite achievable even if you are on a budget. Here’s what you need to do.
1. Find out your skin type, ask your dermatologist or do the test at home where you wash your face and monitor how oily it gets in the next two hours.
2. Get a simple cleanser. Gel based or oil based according to your skin type. This doesn’t need to be expensive, as long as it’ll remove the gunk on your face, it will suffice.
3. Don’t forget a moisturizer! This will be dictated by your skin type again so don’t forget to take step 1 seriously.
4. Invest in sunscreen. While this seems unnecessary to many, arguably it’s probably the most important part of your skincare routine. Luckily there are numerous drugstore options. You need to protect yourself against the sun’s harsh rays. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself when you’re fifty.
